In order to run Lookaway CMS in a production environment, you will need to first install services such as the web server, database and mail server. For this example we are running on Ubuntu Server 20 and we will use Nginx as the web server, Postgresql for the database and Postfix to handle email.

  1. Update The Server

Update to the server and its repositories to get the latest and most secure versions of the operating system and software

sudo apt update -y && sudo apt upgrade -y

  2. Install the Required Packages

Use the following command to download and install the software you will need to serve Lookaway CMS over the Internet

sudo apt-get install postgresql postgresql-contrib python3-pip nginx postfix

  3. Enable Services

Make sure the services start up when the server starts.

sudo systemctl enable postgresql && sudo systemctl enable postfix && sudo systemctl enable nginx

By now your web server should be up to date with all of the services needed to run Lookaway CMS. Please ensure you didn't miss any steps before downloading and installing Lookaway CMS.
